(this was one of my very first wardrobe remix shots - oh how times have changed - funny to see these old outfit documentations - some i still like but just aren't my style anymore and some just have me shaking my head.)
this is the shortest i ever went:
sorry - that's a lot. this sort of went from "pick a few fave haircuts" to "i should gather everything i like just in case i go chop it off right away". (also i have a pretty extensive hair inspiration folder, and i'm not really sure where some of these are from. some are celebs and a good few are from madradhair - others are just gals whose locks i've admired around the 'net - if any of these are you and i can link/credit you or anything then let me know) so whaddya think (tho i realize i'm no longer as thin or as early twentysomethin' as i was)? chop chop chop or long live the long look? maybe a trip to the salon as a 30th b-day special to myself? will i regret it immediately after all this long wait of growing out? any other sort of cuts you think would suit me instead? i think my fave is when it's really piece-y and layered and kinda curls out all messy and flippy-like - which is funny cause back then i used to try to get it as straight and pointy as possible. oh, hindsight! anyhow, i need opinions before i'm too tempted to take kitchen shears to my head (i think it's this heat, too, which makes it even more desireable - but if i do decide to chop i'll wait till my bangs grow out long enough to achieve the look - or at least i'll try)! wish it wasn't that when it's short i want it long and when it's long i'm itching to cut - but ain't that always how it goes.
You pull of short hair so well, I'm a little jealous (not that long isn't super cute, too, it's just not every girl that can rock the short look.)
ReplyDeleteI do the flip/flop thing, too-the second I cut it, I wish I hadn't, but when it's long all I want to do is cut! I really like the idea of keeping a folder of hair inspiration photos. Very smart. Good luck!
You're so cute! Really, you are. All of those hair styles were really good looking and they all seem to have a similar theme. Just go with what you're feeling, with what seems to be expressive of you. I'm sure it will turn out fantastic.
ReplyDeletei have such a love of short hair! last summer i had super short hair (one side was even buzzed) with just some long bangs and i loved it! i think your hair, in the pic where you're wearing the yellow dress, is super cute! also the really short bangs looked adorable on ya. i think everyone looks amazing with shorty short hair though :)

I loved your early WR days hair. Would you feel more like yourself with the shorter choppy bob? The last time I went from a bob to a pixie I was like AHHHHHHHH, THERE'S my face. Short hair is just better on me and I think I'll be able to resist the long hair temptation from here on out.
